The main ingredient in this bio-based material is polyvinyl alcohol, or PVOH for short, which is a synthetic polymer created without the heavy toxic metals that are often damaging to the planet. It’s also odourless, biodegradable, and water-soluble. Our plastic bags are 400 x 500 mm and 50 micron thick. These are Type C plastics which dissolve at 25 deg C
